The Southwestern Ontario Chapter (SWOC) is composed of archivists, librarians, records managers and other professionals who are dedicated to promoting, preserving and providing public access to the documentary heritage of Southwestern Ontario. SWOC strives to provide professional development opportunities, including workshops and lectures, and social events, such as tours, for professionals in the area to connect, collaborate and strengthen the archival community in Southwestern Ontario.

SWOC Annual General Meeting

Join us for our AGM on Thursday, April 25, 2024, some refreshments and snacks, and a tour of the Elgin County Archives and the Elgin County Heritage Centre. Learn about the plans to expand the Archives’ storage and space, and get a demonstration from Digitization Assistant, Tysha Rieger, on the process involved with the Newspaper Digitization project! AGM will begin at 9:30 am. Please RSVP to Gina at gdewaele@elgin.ca by April 19th, if you are able to attend. All are welcome to attend, no previous involvement with SWOC or AAO is necessary.
