The AAO Board of Directors invites you to participate in a free, members-only online bystander intervention training facilitated by Hollaback!

Training overview

This 90 minute virtual training will focus on bystander intervention training for when you witness online abuse. It will discuss the severe impact online abuse can have – on well being, livelihoods, and free expression.

The training will focus on concrete strategies for how to distract, delegate, document, delay, or directly intervene in a way that is safe, effective, and centered on the needs of the person being targeted. It will include time to practice so you can leave feeling more confident intervening the next time you see someone being abused online.

Registration

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 100 participants.

Location: Zoom

Recording: This session will not be recorded.

Please note that the AAO Code of Conduct applies to this workshop.

Sincerely,
