The Archives Association of Ontario, Eastern Chapter is pleased to offer a tour of the Canadian Museum of Nature Archives.

Note: All attendees must be registered under their own name due to security precautions at the museum building.

The Natural Heritage Campus is the Canadian Museum of Nature's science and administration centre, situated on 76 hectares of land in Gatineau, Quebec*. The facility is designed to provide the standards of safety, security and preservation necessary to safeguard Canada's natural history collection. It is also the site of the Museum’s Archives and Library. If you’ve ever wanted to see behind the scenes at the Archives of Canada’s natural history museum, this is your opportunity! We will also be able to tour the museum’s Botany Collection and Large Skeleton Room.

*Location note: This tour is taking place at the museum’s research and collections building in Gatineau, not the main exhibition building in Ottawa. Public transportation is available to the site (see the OC Transpo trip planner for specific routes). However, a limited number of carpooling seats may be available if you cannot find transportation. Please contact the AAO East / est for more information: aaoeast@gmail.com
