Alexander Henry Tour Join us for this exciting tour of the CCGS Alexander Henry, a retired icebreaker that was built in Port Arthur in 1959 and is now permanently docked on the waterfront in Thunder Bay. Please note that the tour will take place on the ship, which, although docked, is on the water and has some steep and narrow stairways, uneven floors, and low doorways. When: May 14, 2020 from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm Where: The Alexander Henry is docked at Pool 6 in Marina Park, a 15-minute walk from the Prince Arthur Waterfront Hotel. Casual Archives Crawl For those still in town and wanting to get a behind-the-scenes look at some local archives, join us for this casual archives crawl. We will meet at the Hoito for breakfast and learn about the history of the Finnish Labour Temple. From there, we will carpool to the City of Thunder Bay Archives, the Lakehead University Archives, the Thunder Bay Museum, and the Thunder Bay Art Gallery.
