Holdings: The archival material at the Boyd Heritage Museum dates from the 1830's to 2005 and consists of approximately 10 meters of records (i.e.) photographs, textual records, manuscripts, sound recordings, CD's, videos, publications) as well a number of large photographs, maps, charts, posters, drawings and paintings housed in one four drawer map cabinet or in special storage. The Special Collections and Archives of the Kelly Library highlight the many facets of Catholic life and culture in Canada and abroad. In addition to the personal papers of Henri Nouwen, Sheila Watson, and Irish politician Patrick O’Neill, the Library also maintains the organizational records of the L’Arche Daybreak Community of Richmond Hill, the Faith & Sharing Federation and the New Catholic Times newspaper. Our archival fonds document the activities of individuals associated with the college, as well as the development of Catholic institutions and spiritual movements of the twentieth century in the Toronto area and abroad. The Rare Book Room at the Kelly Library is made up of a core collection of the Library’s historical holdings published before 1850, as well as several distinct collections. The department specializes in historical publications in the subjects of: Catholic theology; Philosophy; the Counter- Reformation; English, Irish and Canadian history; and English, Irish and French Literature.
